How One New Jersey Town Cut Take-Out Plastic by 94%.
Talk about successful action, in 2024 Red Bank, NJ passed a Skip the Stuff Ordinance which has restaurants providing single-use cutlery and condiments only upon request for takeout orders. Results, a whopping 94% reduction in single-use items, preventing 1,578,769 pieces of plastic cutlery from entering waste streams annually.
Customer feedback, “I have a junk drawer at home full of stuff I never use. Now I don’t have that problem!” and “Skip the Stuff is a no-brainer!”
